Operating as an autonomous division of a significant UK business with a fantastic range of products. Our client has created an enviable reputation for delivering tasty products which are already filling the shelves of the top 4 Grocery retailers. 

This continuous success has been reflected in several retailers elevating the business to Category Partner and so to maintain these high standards the business requires an experienced FMCG Category Manager to join their team. 

As part of a wider team you will have a hands on approach to manage the ongoing strong relationship across the commercial, Marketing and NPD departments. Providing insights on opportunities within the market by delivering reports on shopper behaviour, market trends, consumer insights and pricing architectures along with commercial changes taking place across this fast paced and dynamic market.  Reporting Category & insight data to multiple internal stakeholders whilst working with Top retailers to develop new strategies for future growth. 

You will be utilizing your existing experience working with a variety of data sources such as Kantar, Neilson, Aimia and retail link.  This will enable you to identify not just market trends but future opportunities that can be capitalised through your interaction with retail customers on a face to face basis.  The ability to influence, build and maintain strong relationships skills are vital for this role for managing short-term deliverables and developing long-term joint strategies. 

With 5 years’ experience in a commercial category function ideally from within the food sector. Highly analytical, with a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills and highly organised enabling you to manage deadlines. This will provide an opportunity to develop your long term career within the organisation.
